Behringer Neutron – Modular Setup (35 Advanced Patches by Anton Anru)

Description

Welcome to the «MODULAR SETUP» soundset for Behringer Neutron.

Neutron is one of the most interesting semi-modular synths nowadays. The amount of blocks and the size of the patchbay give huge opportunities for sound designers. Moreover, Neutron sounds absolutely amazing, it gives a wide range of colors: from soft and mild to crazy and distorted tones.

All these facts inspired me to make a soundset for the synth, 35 Advanced Patches that include:

  • 10 Basses
  • 10 Leads
  • 10 plucks
  • 5 Drones

By «advanced» I mean that I wasn’t interested in making basic patches, I planned to explore the depth of the synth and its patchbay and try to get the most exciting results.

The patches can be used in various genres: Techno, House, Progressive, Deep, Breakbeat, Electro, Trance, Minimal, Ambient, Noise, Industrial, IDM, Dubstep, Downtempo, Hardstyle, and others.

The patches were made using the firmware 2.0. Make sure you have the latest firmware installed. To recreate the patches correctly you should make some settings in Neutron App.

All 35 patches have ModWheel set to some parameters. Make sure to set Assign output to Mod.

In most cases, LFO is synced to Midi (with some exceptions that are mentioned in patches notes).

In some cases, I use custom LFO Shapes order and phases. I attach screenshots with these settings to the corresponding patches.

Some patches have «self-generated» in the title. This means that you will hear the sound even if you don’t hit a key. These patches give some rhythm and, of course, you may change the notes, play keys, launch arps or seqs. The only way to stop playing such patch is to turn volume down.

In most patches, I add some portion of delay, but you may turn it off if you don’t need it.

When you recreated the patch according to the picture and App settings, you may compare the result with audio demo that can be found inside the pack.

You will need up to 9 patch cords to recreate the patches.
