Korg Wavestate – Digital Era (50 Presets by Anton Anru)

Description

🎆 “Digital Era” is a collection of 50 performances for the Korg Wavestate synthesizer.

It includes: 10 Basses, 10 Keys, 10 Plucks, 10 Synths, and 10 Leads.

The soundset is inspired by the sound of the 80s, when new types of synthesizers were introduced: wavetable, FM, sampler, rompler, vector, additive, physical modeling, virtual analog. They immediately conquered the musical space and were used in all genres of music.

Today, that recognizable digital flavor is strongly associated with the Digital Era. Producers all over the world use such timbres as a tribute or quotation to that period.

📚 This soundset is included in Wavestate COMPLETE BUNDLE (350 Presets) with a 43% discount.

🧿 Perfect for genres like Synthwave, Retrowave, Synth-Pop, Ambient, New Age, Cinematic, Electronica, Pop, Techno, Industrial, Psy, Trance, Garage, Progressive, Experimental, Breaks, D’n’B, etc.

These timbres also work well for movie soundtracks, games, apps, digital art, sound art lives, VR landscapes – anywhere a retro atmosphere is needed.

🎛 Each Performance features 4 Layers that can be mixed using the Vector Envelope joystick. Use each layer individually, or blend them for unique combinations.

🕹 The Vector Envelope joystick is, by default, in the middle position – all layers are mixed equally. However, it’s better to start exploring performances by checking each layer individually. You can also disable some layers by double-clicking on layers’ (A, B, C, D) buttons.

🟤 ModWheel opens all layers’ filters, enhancing the brightness of the sound.

The presets follow a unified (with some exceptions) mapping system for the 8 Mod Knobs/Macros:

🔸 1 – Cutoff
🔸 2 – Resonance
🔸 3 – Chorus/Detune/Stereo
🔸 4 – Vibrato
🔸 5 – Attack
🔸 6 – Shortens Decay or add movement
🔸 7 – Adds pitch envelope or controls the rate of the movement
🔸 8 – Delay + Reverb mix

Highlights:

🔹 Each performance comprises 4 layers.
🔹 Thoroughly set parameters.
🔹 All 8 Performance Knobs/Macros are assigned to different parameters, providing nuanced to drastic changes.
🔹 Vector Envelope blends all 4 Layers.
🔹 ModWheel adds expression.
🔹 No external/additional samples required.
🔹 Equalized volumes for comfortable browsing.

✅ Compatible with all versions of the Wavestate synthesizer: Original/MK1, MK2, SE, SE Platinum, Module, Native, VST, Audio Unit Plugin.

Ensure that you are using the latest software/firmware version.

Drums from the video demo are not included.

Korg Modwave review: should you buy & competitors comparsion

The Korg Modwave is a powerful wavetable synthesizer that has quickly gained attention for its deep sound design capabilities. In this review, we’ll explore whether it stands out among recent Korg releases and how it compares to competitors like the Korg Wavestate, Minilogue, Opsix, Waldorf Blofeld, Iridium, Hydrasynth, Roland Gaia 2, Modal Argon8 and Serum.

Korg Wavestate vs Korg Modwave

While the difference between Opsix and Multi/Poly is quite clear – Opsix is an FM synthesizer with subtractive capabilities, and Multi/Poly is a virtual analog with additional wavetables – the distinction between the other two, Wavestate and Modwave – isn’t as obvious. In our sound design bureau, we’ve created dozens of sound sets for Korg’s […]
