Hard to program, and changing a patch can ruin one of your other presets if you’re not carefull, thanks to it’s rather stupid architecture. Sounds lovely though. The VST version actually sounds better IMHO, and is easier to program as it doesn’t have the limitiations of the hardware. The hardware does have the nostalgia though….

The Wavestation is really hard work to program… the bloke who sold me mine described it as like trying to paint the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, through the letterbox, with a paintbrush on the end of a pole. But…. OOOOOOOH…. is it worth it! The most luscious ambient sounds I ever made came out of my Wavestation… I’ll sadly miss it.
