This bundle includes three Moog Grandmother soundsets: “Analog Classics”, “Explorer”, and “Evolution”. 120 patches total.

«Analog Classics» is a collection of 50 patches: 16 Leads, 13 Basses, 13 Arps, 5 Drones, 3 Chords.

It includes famous sounds that are found in many electronic tracks, from vintage to modern, musical solo-timbres and basses that will fit in any instrumental track or performance, like jazz, funk, rock, pop, indie, etc.., and some experimental patches that will add uniqueness to your music – everything vintage synths are loved for plus new possibilities and sound character introduced by Grandmother.

«Explorer» is a collection of 50 experimental but usable presets for Moog Grandmother: 12 Leads, 10 Basses, 9 Plucks, 10 Arps, 6 Drones, 3 Chords.

It includes aggressive, bright, detuned, freaky, noisy, atonal, metallic, generative, evolving, rhythmic timbres. In «Explorer» bank of presets, I tried to dive deeper in a modular nature of Grandmother and get most interesting and exciting results.

«Evolution» is a collection of 20 advanced patches: 10 Generative Sequences and 10 Complex Arpeggios. The bank covers a wide range of tones: warm, deep, bright, metallic, soft, expressive, dreamy, dark, evolving, detuned, inharmonic, noisy, distorted and others. Generative timbres may be a good addition to (or a lead part of) ambient or techno tracks, jams and performances. You may also record fragments into your DAW or sampler, slice it to one-shots or make loops – you’ll get a unique material for further processing.

The soundsets are presented in the form of PDF-Documents Each page contains notes that explain how the patch works, what parameters worth tweaking during the playback, how to develop the timbre during a performance. If you make all the settings consciously and try the things mentioned in the notes, you will learn lots of things about the synth and discover its true depth.

Each patch has an audio example, it helps to understand how a patch is supposed to sound. To recreate these patches you need up 8 patch cords.

You should also install firmware v1.1.3 or higher to have access to all settings used in this soundset.
